About the Consultant
After more than 25 years as a professor of education, I retired from full-time university teaching but I continue to write and publish my research.
Throughout my academic career, my responsibilities included conducting and publishing educational research, writing for academic audiences, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in elementary and early childhood education.
One of the most rewarding aspects of university life has always been helping students and developing scholars think more carefully about educational questions, research design, academic writing, and the communication of scholarly ideas.
Education Dissertation & Research Consulting was created as a way to continue that work by providing individualized guidance to Ed.D. and Ph.D. candidates who would benefit from an experienced independent perspective on their research.
My goal is not to tell students what their dissertation should say. It is to help them think more clearly about their research, understand the decisions they are making, and strengthen the scholarly work that remains entirely their own.

Conduct undisclosed research on behalf of students
Submit work on behalf of students
Impersonate students
Guarantee dissertation or proposal approval
Override the requirements of a student's university, chair, or committee
The doctoral candidate remains the researcher and author of all submitted work.
University policies and the guidance of the dissertation chair and committee always take precedence. Students are responsible for ensuring that outside consultation is permitted under the policies of their institution and doctoral program.
